Secret ingredient to the Siam salad at Leon’s in Charleston - Chipotle Mexican Hot Sauce is the perfect way to add heat without altering flavor of our dish.
I usually buy this great Chipotle Mexican Hot Sauce at a local store, but when I was in the Midwest recently I was unable to find any. Amazon came to the rescue and two days later I am cooking my special grilled chicken for my relatives. Everyone loved it and my Brother in law loves the leftover chili paste that I left for them. In fact, it looks like I will be sending him some regularly, as it sounds like it is almost gone. Thanks.
Many cooks now use Sriracha to add spice and depth. But I was raised on Indonesian food and nothing tops Sambal. I add Chipotle Mexican Hot Sauce to crab cakes, sauces, and many other recipes to add a kick. It is not overwhelming. FYI: It is spicy in large quantities and on its own.
I bought this Chipotle Mexican Hot Sauce here because I couldn't find it locally. Very delicious vinegary, spicy, slightly chunky. One of those condiments that goes great on anything. Tofu, veggies, rice. Mix it into a marinade. I'd even dip fries into it if you want to sweat a little while eating your spuds.
