We've compared so many hot sauce brands on ceviche and this Salsa Marisquera Sauce is perfect. Outstanding flavor and just right heat. Hands down winner over Tapatio.
Two things ... this Salsa Marisquera Sauce is very different than the other salsas you taste. It's got a soy sauce like taste component I presume is from the hydrolyzed vegetable protein they use in it. This gives it a bouillon-like flavor that's rich and even unami-ish. I use this stuff on everything from eggs to soup to potatoes ... and anything else I can think of. It is salty so I do use it sparingly. However, at $4.50 it's dramatically over-priced. The little Mexican markets that carry it in my neighborhood charge less that $2 for it. I've found it for as little as $1.60.
